Two Ticket Holders Share €45.1 Million Eurojackpot Prize
There was double delight following Friday’s Eurojackpot draw, as two players successfully matched all seven numbers to share a prize of over €45.1 million. The ticket holders - one from Germany and the other from Hungary - each won a total of €22.5 million and became the sixth and seventh jackpot winners of 2017.
The winning Eurojackpot numbers were 13, 23, 31, 42 and 44, with 2 and 5 appearing as the Euro numbers. The draw also saw three players (two German and one Finnish player) walk away with €568,323 after matching all five main numbers and one Euro number.
The good news didn’t end there for the two most successful nations in Eurojackpot history, as two Germans and a Finn also claimed €200,584 by correctly matching all five main numbers in the draw.
There were a further 814,489 prize winners who claimed between €7.60 for matching two main numbers and one Euro number and €4,093 for matching four main numbers and both Euro numbers on what proved to be a prosperous night for Eurojackpot fans. This latest jackpot win sees Germany further extend its lead at the top of the jackpot winners’ table. There have been a total of 21 winners from the central-western European nation since the game’s debut in March 2012, 11 more than its nearest rival, Finland. The draw also proved a momentous occasion for ticket holders from Hungary, as the country secured its first ever top prize win.
Following this jackpot success, the prize total ahead of Friday’s draw has reset to €10 million. If you would like to be in with a chance of winning this sizeable eight-figure sum, tickets are available to buy online or from any authorised retailer in participating countries. Best of luck!
