EuroMillions
How to Play
Select five main numbers between 1 and 50 along with two Lucky Star numbers between 1 and 12. Lucky Star numbers are drawn from a separate machine, meaning that the numbers 1-12 can be drawn as a main number and a Lucky Star in the same draw. Alternatively, you can use ‘Quick Pick’ which will randomly generate a selection of numbers for you. You can play online or buy tickets from authorised retail stores in any of the participating countries.

Interesting Facts
The first EuroMillions draw was held on Friday 13th February 2004, with just France, Spain and the UK taking part. The game quickly grew in popularity, and in October 2004 Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal and Switzerland joined EuroMillions, bringing the total number of participating nations to nine. In May 2011, a Tuesday draw was added, and the Lucky Star ball pool increased from 9 to 11. In September 2016, an extra Lucky Star was added to the ball pool, increasing from 11 to 12.
The EuroMillions jackpot can reach a maximum of €250 million. The jackpot had previously reached its former cap of €190 million four times. In August 2012, British couple Adrian and Gillian Bayford became the first players to win this huge jackpot. In October 2014, a single ticket holder from Portugal also won €190 million, before a winner from Spain claimed the same amount in October 2017.
Between 23rd July and 24th September 2019 the EuroMillions jackpot rolled over all the way from its starting value of €17 million to the maximum €190 million. After four more rollovers without a winner, the jackpot was finally claimed by a single ticket holder from the UK. They became the biggest ever lottery winner in the UK.
The rules of the jackpot cap changed in 2020 to allow it to increase by €10 million after each time it was won. A single player from France banked €200 million on 11th December 2020, before a Swiss ticket holder won €210 million on 26th February 2021. In October 2021, a French participant won a jackpot of €220 million. A UK player won a €230 million jackpot in July 2022, before an Austrian broke the record with a €240 million win in December 2023.
