Two Players Win €757,473 as Eurojackpot Reaches €53 Million

Friday’s Eurojackpot draw saw two players each win €757,473 in the Match 5+1 prize tier. The ticket holders, from Germany and Sweden, beat odds of over 1 in 5.9 million to win the game’s biggest prize since a single player from Germany won over €1.1 million on Friday 19th August.

The winning Eurojackpot numbers were 11, 27, 34, 35 and 39, with Euro numbers 6 and 10. In addition to the two largest winners on the night, four ticket holders, two from Denmark and one each from Germany and Sweden, all won €254,551 after matching five main numbers. A further 584,545 players won prizes ranging from €8.90 for matching two main numbers and one Euro number to €5,749 for matching four main numbers and both Euro numbers. The jackpot of €44.8 million remained untouched, meaning that the prize total ahead of this Friday’s draw has rolled over to reach an incredible €53 million. Any potential winner of the prize will become the eighth player to claim the jackpot this year and the largest prize claimant since a German ticket holder walked away with over €84.7 million on Friday 29th July.

Despite 17 countries participating in Eurojackpot, only two nations, Germany and Finland, have produced jackpot winners in 2016. They have monopolised the highest prize tier of this lottery for the past nine months, with the last winner not from these two countries being a Spanish player who claimed €31.5 million on Friday 9th October 2015. It is safe to say that players from across the continent, particularly in Estonia, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Slovakia and Sweden, where no jackpot winner has ever been produced, would most likely welcome a break in the cycle in order to claim a jackpot win for their home nation, and what better way to do that than with a €53 million windfall?

If you would like to be in with a chance of winning this Friday’s massive jackpot, you can play Eurojackpot online from around the world or from any authorised retailer in participating countries. Best of luck!
