Slovenian Success Makes It Two Eurojackpot Wins in a Row
Eurojackpot’s top prize has been won in consecutive draws after a Slovenian player won €10 million on Tuesday night, following on from another big jackpot for Germany last Friday.
The jackpot had built up to €74.7 million prior to the draw on Friday 27th February, on the back of seven rollovers in a row. A single ticket, purchased in the German state of Baden-Württemberg, matched the numbers 7, 17, 19, 28 and 47, plus Euro numbers 2 and 7.
The jackpot dropped to €10 million for Tuesday’s draw, and the winning numbers were revealed to be 1, 9, 14, 35 and 49, with Euro numbers 2 and 10. It proved to be a lucky night for more than 477,000 participants across Europe who picked up prizes, most notably the Slovenian jackpot winner who matched all seven numbers.
It was later revealed that the winner had bought their ticket at the Loterija Slovenije sales point located at Ormoški cesta 15 in the town of Ptuj. Following taxes, the prize will be worth €8.5 million, and the winner has until 1st June to claim their prize.
It is the sixth time that Slovenia has had a winner of the top prize. The record for the largest win in the country still belongs to the online player who banked €60 million in April 2024.
While Germany comfortably ranks as the most successful Eurojackpot country in terms of overall winners, the Slovenian National Lottery claims to be second, behind Finland, for jackpots won per capita. Go to the Winner Statistics page for more fun facts and figures about the 19-nation lottery.
The jackpot will remain at its starting amount of €10 million for the next draw on Friday night. Will it be won for a third time in a row or will it climb higher? The top prize in Eurojackpot can go up to a maximum of €120 million before it is capped.
Buy tickets from authorised retailers in any participating country or choose your numbers online, then view the results as soon as draws take place every Tuesday and Friday night.
