Eurojackpot created another big winner on Friday night as a single player matched all the numbers to land a jackpot of €37 million. The ticket was sold in Slovenia.

The jackpot had previously been won just a couple of weeks earlier, when someone from Baden-Württemberg in Germany banked the maximum €120 million on 9th May.

It had quickly started to build up again ahead of the latest draw on 23rd May. The winning numbers selected at random in Helsinki were 11, 17, 19, 33 and 40, with Euro numbers 7 and 12.

Among the 758,273 prizes paid out across Europe, the lowest return was €9.80 for matching two main numbers and one Euro number. Prizes increase in value as more numbers are matched, and two players were lucky enough to become multimillionaires.

One was a participant from Czech Republic who picked up €2.019 million after matching all five main numbers and one Euro number, and the other was the jackpot winner from Slovenia. Go to the Eurojackpot Results page for a full draw breakdown.

Slovenian Success

Slovenia has now had four jackpot wins, and the latest ranks as the country’s second-largest of all time. The biggest came in April 2024, when an online player split €120 million with a ticket holder from Germany.

It has been revealed that the winning ticket for Friday night was sold at Cesta Staneta Žagarja 69 in the town of Kranj. The player has 90 days to come forward and claim their prize, and they will receive around €31.7 million after 15 percent has been taken out in taxes. The win will also help the Slovenian national lottery to support good causes.

The jackpot will now reset to €10 million for Tuesday’s draw, with two chances every week to pocket prizes. You can play online or by visiting authorised retailers in any of the 19 participating countries.
