A single ticket holder from Finland claimed Friday’s Eurojackpot top prize of €10 million. The successful player from southern Espoo clinched the eight-figure sum by correctly matching all five main numbers and both Euro numbers to become the sixth winner of the jackpot this year.

The winning numbers were 6, 7, 36, 39 and 40, with 1 and 10 appearing as the Euro numbers. In addition to the jackpot winner, an Italian player from Paitone in Brescia was lucky enough to scoop €1,053,778 by matching five main numbers and one Euro number, while three tickets, one each from Denmark, Finland and Germany, managed to secure a very handsome €123,973 apiece by matching five main numbers.

Other fortunate Eurojackpot fans claimed prizes ranging from €10.40 for matching two main numbers and one Euro number to €4,959 by matching four main numbers and both Euro numbers. In total, 363,199 players walked away with prizes on what proved to be a lucrative night for lucky ticket holders. This latest jackpot win saw a new page written in the Eurojackpot history book as it was the first time since the game’s launch in 2012 that the jackpot has been won in consecutive weeks. The win is Finland’s second of the year, following a €19.3 million win on Friday 22nd January, and also sees a run of German jackpot victories ended, with the European powerhouse producing four of the six top prize winners in 2016.

The jackpot total is now reset to a guaranteed €10 million ahead of this Friday’s draw, with ticket holders hoping that this recent run of top prize wins can continue. To be in with a chance of winning this incredible prize, Eurojackpot tickets can be purchased online or from any authorised retailer in participating countries. Good luck!
