Eurojackpot reaches €34 million ahead of Friday’s draw
The top prize in Eurojackpot has reached an incredible €34 million ahead of the draw on Friday 20th April following three consecutive rollovers, with players from Croatia and Iceland to Norway, Slovenia and beyond all dreaming of becoming Eurojackpot’s fourth jackpot winner of 2018. The €34 million up for grabs even eclipses the €24 million (£21 million) available in Tuesday’s EuroMillions.
Three Consecutive Rollovers
The top prize in Eurojackpot has been steadily increasing in size ever since the jackpot was last claimed on Friday 23rd March by a Norwegian ticket holder, who matched the winning numbers 4, 14, 42, 22 and 33 alongside the two Euro numbers 1 and 10 to claim the €17.4 million jackpot, roughly kr167 million.
The Eurojackpot player from Aust Adger became the game’s third jackpot winner from Norway in the process, stating she’d toast her historic win with a long holiday in Thailand. The jackpot reset to €10 million following her incredible win, and three draws in a row without the top prize being claimed has led to Friday’s offering of €34 million.
2018 Jackpot Winners
There have in fact already been three jackpot winners so far in 2018, with the Norwegian success story following on from jackpot wins this year in Germany and Finland.
A German ticket holder was celebrating two weeks prior, on Friday 9th March, after purchasing their winning line in Neukölln to take home a €42.6 million jackpot, and a Finnish syndicate of five players created Eurojackpot history back in February by scooping a €90 million jackpot, only the fourth time in the history of Eurojackpot that the jackpot cap has been reached.

Friday’s draw for €34 million will take place in Helsinki, Finland, at 8pm CET, and players from all 18 participating countries can choose their numbers online to be in with a chance of following in the footsteps of these previous winners.
