Eurojackpot Remains at €90 Million For Fifth Straight Draw

The top prize in Eurojackpot remains at €90 million for the fifth straight week following yet another rollover. The jackpot hasn’t been won for the past twelve draws, and ticket holders across all eighteen participating countries will be desperate to create history by landing the eight-figure windfall this Friday.

Second Prize Shared By 28 Tickets

The winning numbers on Friday 15th June were 1, 5, 7, 9 and 21, plus Lucky Stars 3 and 10. There were 28 winners of just over €853,000 each in the second prize tier, which was worth more than €23 million in total. The prize amount for matching five numbers and one Lucky Star is usually much lower than this, but because the jackpot cap is currently in place, the €90 million prize cannot get any bigger. This means that any additional funds from ticket sales are rolled down to the second prize tier instead.

All 28 winning tickets from Friday’s draw were just one Euro number away from landing the historic €90 million jackpot. Eleven of the ticket holders were from Germany, with six coming from Finland, two from Sweden and the Netherlands, and one apiece from Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Denmark, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.

Axel Weber, a Eurojackpot spokesman, said: "This jackpot phase of the lottery Eurojackpot is producing millionaires around the clock and an astounding number of big six-figure winners, just like tonight (Friday 15th June). With 13 new Eurojackpot millionaires to date in the last twelve weeks, we have set a record."

This is the fifth time the jackpot cap has been reached since Eurojackpot launched in 2012, but it hasn’t ever rolled over this many times before. The jackpot was last won on Friday 23rd March when a Norwegian woman scooped €17.4 million, with many players coming desperately close to ending the long run of rollovers since then.

Become The Joint-Biggest Winner In Eurojackpot History

This Friday’s Eurojackpot draw could see ticket holders become the joint-biggest winners in the lottery’s history. The top prize will remain at €90 million until it has been won, a sum that has been claimed on five previous occasions, most recently in January 2017, when five players split the incredible prize. That draw saw the largest number of jackpot winners in the history of the lottery, with three players from Germany, one from Denmark and one from the Netherlands taking home €18 million each.

History could repeat itself in this Friday’s draw, so take part online from locations around the world by visiting our Play Eurojackpot page.
