The big American games, Powerball and Mega Millions, have odds of 1 in 292,201,338 and 1 in 302,575,350 respectively, while the odds of winning the jackpot in EuroMillions and even German Lotto are 1 in 139.8 million.

Poland’s introduction last September took the number of nations involved to 18, twice as many as EuroMillions, which has not welcomed a new country since 2004.
