Five Reasons Why Eurojackpot Has Never Been Better

Five Reasons Why Eurojackpot Has Never Been Better

Eurojackpot’s top prize will be worth a sensational €67 million on Friday night following a seventh straight draw without a jackpot winner. It is just one of the reasons why there has never been a better time to play the game:

Big Jackpots

The top prize in Eurojackpot can grow as high as €90 million before it must be won, and this has already happened three times since the game was launched in March 2012. However, it has not been bigger than its current value of €67 million since a Finnish player won €86.9 million on Friday 14th April 2017, making it the best time to play for jackpot hunters in nine months.

12 Ways To Win

You don’t have to match all the numbers drawn to win prizes on Eurojackpot; there are 11 other ways to win. You can pick up cash awards for matching as few as two main numbers plus one Euro number, or even just one main number and two Euro numbers. The prizes vary from draw to draw based on the number of participants and the number of winners, so they can be very substantial. The one player - from Denmark - who came in the second tier last Friday, matching five main numbers and one Euro number, won a fantastic 13.1 million kr (€2 million). Lottery operator Danske Spil announced that the lucky ticket had been bought at a Kvickly store at Stationsporten in Albertslund.

Decent Odds

As Eurojackpot has 12 prize tiers, the overall odds of winning an award are just 1 in 26. The chances of landing the jackpot are 1 in 95,344,200, which compare very favourably with other major lotteries which offer huge prizes. The big American games, Powerball and Mega Millions, have odds of 1 in 292,201,338 and 1 in 302,575,350 respectively, while the odds of winning the jackpot in EuroMillions and even German Lotto are 1 in 139.8 million.

Continued Growth

Eurojackpot continues to get bigger and better almost every year, with new participating countries joining the game. Poland’s introduction last September took the number of nations involved to 18, twice as many as EuroMillions, which has not welcomed a new country since 2004. The increased level of participation helps the jackpot to grow more quickly.

Easy To Play

It has never been easier to take part in Eurojackpot. As well as being able to buy tickets in 18 different countries, you can choose numbers online from around the world. This is a quick, convenient and simple method of enjoying the game, and means you could just walk off with Friday’s €67 million jackpot. Good luck!
