Eurojackpot Rolls Again to Hit €69 Million
Monday 18th July 2016 10:24 AM

There was no Eurojackpot top prize winner in the draw on Friday 15th July, meaning the jackpot will rise to €69 million for this Friday’s draw, just €7.7 million short of largest total won in the game in 2016 so far. The big winner on Friday night was a Finnish player who scooped an amazing €1.8 million for matching all five main numbers and one of the Euro numbers, while three Germans, another Finn and a Swedish player each banked €130,180 for matching five main balls.

The winning Eurojackpot numbers were 12, 22, 36, 38 and 50 with Euro numbers 2 and 9, and other prizes won on the night ranged from €8.30 for matching two main numbers and a Euro number to €4,821 for matching four main numbers and two Euro numbers. A full Eurojackpot prize breakdown can be found at the Results page.

The biggest Eurojackpot prize so far this year came on Friday 25th March, when a German ticket holder pocketed €76.7 million. That win placed them second in the overall Eurojackpot winners’ table, behind a Czech player who claimed €90 million from the draw on 15th May 2015. The €69 million on offer this week is now Europe’s second-biggest jackpot, passing Spain’s La Primitiva (€61.5 million), but still less than SuperEnalotto in Italy, which has been without a jackpot winner for more than a year and now stands at €110.1 million.

Lottery fans across Europe looking to pick up this life-changing fortune on Friday may want to turn to the game’s statistics for some guidance on the numbers they choose. The Eurojackpot numbers that most often feature in the winning line are 1, 19, 20, 37 and 39 with Euro numbers 3 and 9, while the most overdue balls are 3, 8, 15, 27 and 30 with Euro numbers 7 and 8. If you don’t wish to allow past performance to have a bearing on your choices, and you want to avoid accidentally falling into common patterns that would see you share any prize with more fellow participants than usual, you could use the Number Generator to create as many random lines as you desire.

Eurojackpot tickets are on sale at authorised retailers across the participating nations, as well as online, wherever you live in the world, through the Play Eurojackpot page. Good luck!
