A Eurojackpot player from North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany won the jackpot of €29 million on Friday 22nd April, with the top prize having rolled over three times since a player from the same state scooped €76.7 million on Friday 25th March. There have now been 12 German jackpot winners in total since the game began in 2012, more than any other participating country. Finland sits in second with nine jackpots claimed, followed by Denmark and Slovenia on two apiece.

The Eurojackpot results were 5, 28, 31, 33 and 49 with Euronumbers 1 and 2 and other prizes ranged from €8.30 for matching two main numbers and one Euro number for more than 344,000 participants to €426,725 for the two Germans and a Danish player who matched five main numbers and one Euro number. There is a full prize breakdown from the draw at the Results section.

Of the four jackpots won so far in 2016, three of them have been pocketed by players in North Rhine-Westphalia, including the €49.6 million prize paid out on 1st January to a ticket holder from Cologne. Only a Finnish win of €19.3 million on Friday 22nd January has broken the run of good luck currently being experienced by Germany’s most populous state.

However, you don’t have to snap up your Eurojackpot entries in Düsseldorf or Dortmund to stand a chance of winning this Friday’s €10 million jackpot; you can buy tickets from authorised retailers in any of the participating countries and each line has as much chance of winning as any other.
