EuroMillions is another European lottery game that first launched back in 2004. There are a total of nine countries that participate in the EuroMillions and in alphabetical order these are Austria, Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. The EuroMillions takes place twice a week on a Tuesday and Friday night and the minimum jackpot available to win is €15 million, however after a few consecutive rollovers the EuroMillions jackpot can quickly reach an impressive amount.
The EuroMillions has a very similar game play to the EuroJackpot. Players need to choose five main numbers from a range of 1 – 50 then two additional numbers, which are known as Lucky Stars, from a choice of 1 – 11. In order to win the EuroMillions jackpot, players have to match the all seven of the numbers drawn with the ones they selected on their EuroMillions lottery ticket. If two or more lottery tickets match the five plus two combination drawn then the jackpot will be shared equally amongst the winners.
When no player manages to win the EuroMillions top prize it will rollover to the following draw. Having a rollover facility makes it possible for the jackpots in this European lottery to soar to as much as €190 million.
