Massive Eurojackpot Prizes in Second Tier as Jackpot Remains at Limit

Massive Eurojackpot Prizes in Second Tier as Jackpot Remains at Limit
Monday 4th June 2018 11:14 AM

For the first time in Eurojackpot history, the top prize will stay at €90 million for a third consecutive draw. Nobody matched the full winning line on Friday evening, but with the jackpot cap in force there were still some huge prizes in the second tier.

Eurojackpot Results for Friday 1st June

The numbers 14, 19, 21, 30 and 32 were drawn as the main balls on Friday 1st June. The Euro numbers were 4 and 7. The biggest winners on the night were the three ticket holders - two from Germany and one from Denmark - who pocketed €7.3 million each after landing in the Match 5 + 1 prize category.

The reward for matching all five main balls and just one of the Euro numbers would not usually be anywhere near that large, but funds had to be diverted to the second tier after the jackpot hit its €90 million cap in the previous draw. The high level of ticket sales meant there was almost €22 million in prize money to be split between players in the Match 5 + 1 tier.

Another 13 participants won €91,471 after matching five main numbers without either of the Euro numbers, while the other prizes spanned from €7.50 for players in the Match 2 + 1 or Match 1 + 2 tiers to €3,330 for ticket holders in the Match 4 + 2 level. Next Eurojackpot Draw Offers Another Chance to Win €90 Million

The jackpot will stay at its maximum €90 million until someone manages to match the full winning line, and it is likely that a prize fund in excess of €20 million will again be on offer for players in the Match 5 + 1 tier.

The second tier also has a cap of €90 million, so if nobody matches all five main numbers and one Euro number this Friday it would effectively work like a rollover and an even larger amount would be offered in the following draw.

The odds of winning in the second tier are significantly better than the chances of landing the jackpot, making it the perfect time to play the game. There are also various methods you could try to win Eurojackpot, including joining a syndicate or playing a systematic entry.

Biggest Jackpot Winners

The €90 million Eurojackpot cap has been reached on a number of previous occasions. It first happened in May 2015, when a man from Pardubice in the Czech Republic was revealed to be the big winner. He decided to remain anonymous when he came forward almost three weeks later and did not reveal too many details of his story as he insisted he had to leave to catch a train.

A German ticket holder scooped the maximum prize in October 2016. Five ticket holders split the money in January 2017 in a historic moment which marked the first time that multiple players had won the jackpot. A Finnish syndicate also won €90 million on 2nd February this year.

If you want to become the next big winner, you can visit an authorised retailer in any of the participating countries or take part online. Best of luck!
